This equipment is used for measurement of horizontal abutment thrust for symmetrical and unsymmetrical three hinged arch using a combination of concentrated and distributed loading. It is to be used with Universal Structural Frame (separately supplied). The metal alloy arch is hinged at the middle with symmetrical and unsymmetrical spans. One end is hinged while the other has bearings on a horizontal force support with means of applying horizontal abutment thrust using a pulley and a load hanger. The center hinge has a needle roller bearing. A two-roller load and weights for uniform load distribution are provided. Instruction manual is also included. II.Typical Experiments Demonstration of the characteristics of a three-pinned arch Examination of the relationship between applied loads and horizontal thrust Comparison of behavior to simplified theory III.Technical Data Structure: aluminum Bottom with adjustable rubber to adjust the height. The total weight is less than 200kgs. Working environment: -10℃~40℃, Humidity<85%
